Principal Semiconductor was established in 2008. The factory is located in Pohang, South Korea's first industrial city. It is mainly engaged in R&D and production of power devices such as MOSFETs and IGBTs. All core R&D personnel are from Samsung Semiconductor and Fairchild Semiconductor, and have extensive experience in power device R&D and production processes. The company was recognized by the Korean government IT VENTURE in 2009, and has affiliated research institutes at Kukdong University and Bucheon University in South Korea.
