
ZiGuang Tongxin Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (referred to as "ZiGuang Tongxin") is the core enterprise of the automotive electronics and intelligent chip sector of the New ZiGuang Group. It was established in 2001 by the national second-generation resident identity card chip R&D team from the Microelectronics Institute of Tsinghua University through "planting from the soil". The company has undertaken a number of major national industrialization projects including second-generation ID card chips, electronic ticket chips for the 2008 Olympic Games, high-capacity and high-security dual-interface financial chips, and automotive domain control MCU chips.
