Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. took the lead in developing a multilayer ceramic capacitor with a maximum capacitance of 1.0μF among products with a size of 01005 inches (0.4×0.2mm) (hereinafter referred to as "this product"). It has been used in various smartphones and other products. Electronic equipment is becoming more and more common. This product has been mass-produced as "GRM022R60G105M" with a rated voltage of 4Vdc, and "GRM022R60J105M" with a rated voltage of 6.3Vdc is planned to start mass production in 2021.


With the popularization of 5G-enabled smartphones and the multifunction and miniaturization of wearable terminals, electronic circuits also need to be further miniaturized and high-density. Among them, multilayer ceramic capacitors are indispensable parts of electronic devices, and electronic devices such as smart phones and wearable terminals use multiple such parts. It is equipped with approximately 900 to 1,100 high-end smartphones, and it is a part that requires miniaturization and large capacity. In particular, multilayer ceramic capacitors with an electrostatic capacitance of 1.0μF use a large number of these parts in various devices. The expanded use of this product can further contribute to the miniaturization of electronic devices.
Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has achieved miniaturization by establishing unique ceramic element thinning technology and sheet molding technology. Compared with its company's traditional product (size 015008 inches) (1) with a 1.0μF capacity, its installation area The ratio is about 35%, and the volume ratio is about 50%. In addition, compared with the company's product of the same size (01005 inches in size) (2), the capacity is approximately 2.1 times larger, achieving a larger capacity.
